This is a recipe by my friend Talya. I met her in culinary school and I was lucky enough to get this recipe from her. I made it for my parents and my mom consistently asks for it now!

Ingredients
750g bread flour
3/4 tbsp himalayan salt
1 packet yeast
95g caster sugar
1 1/3 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1 tbsp + 1 tsp honey
What to do
(Makes 2 loaves)
Preheat oven to 170°c.
Mix all the dry ingredients in one bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk the wet ingredients.
Add half of the dry mix to the wet. Then add one cup at a time after that.
Knead until smooth.
Oil a bowl and place the dough in. Cover. Let it rise until doubled in size.
Punch down, braid, and cover. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
Glaze top of braid with en egg glaze and lightly sprinkle a mixture of salt and sugar over the top.
Place in the oven and cook for 30 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
